What's in it

• Golden Tips 50g — the rarest Ceylon black tea, made entirely from the unopened golden bud. No leaf, no stem. Warm honey, caramel and malt, with a natural sweetness that makes sugar pointless.
• Silver Tips White Tea 50g — picked before sunrise and barely processed: withered and dried, never rolled or oxidised. Delicate melon and hay, with no bitterness at all.

Both are bud-only teas from highland estates, hand-picked, and produced in tiny quantities. They are the top and the opposite end of what Ceylon makes — one deep and honeyed, one almost weightless.

Brewing matters more here than usual — include this note

Golden Tips: 1 heaped teaspoon, water at 85–90°C, not boiling, steep 3 minutes. Boiling water scorches the buds and loses the honey.
Silver Tips: 1 heaped teaspoon, water at 75–80°C, steep 4–5 minutes. It needs longer than you would expect because the bud is whole.

Neither takes milk or sugar. Both re-steep two or three times, so 50g goes further than it looks.

Who this is for

Give it if the recipient drinks tea without milk, it is a milestone or corporate gift, or you want something that is not another hamper.
Don't give it if they take strong tea with milk and sugar — the subtlety would be lost on them, and the Ceylon Classics Trio is the better gift at half the price.
