Choose by budget
- Under RM60 — a considered small gift. A single tin of Masala Chai Gold (RM55), Earl Grey with real bergamot (RM50), or Ceylon True Cinnamon (RM42) — each delivered free, so the price is the whole cost. Good for teacher gifts, thank-yous and hamper fillers.
- RM120–150 — the standard gift. The Ceylon Classics Trio (RM122) — three full 200g tins, about 240 cups, roughly 51 sen a cup. The Everyday Ritual Set (RM122) and the Chai Lover's Gift Set (RM149) are each priced about 15% below buying their tins separately.
- RM145–255 — when it needs to land. The bud-only rarities: Silver Tips (RM145), Golden Tips (RM155), or both together in the Prestige Rare Tips Luxury Gift Set (RM255, saving RM45).
Choose by recipient
- The chai drinker — the Chai Lover's Gift Set, built on nine whole Ayurvedic spices rather than a sweetened powder.
- Someone new to Ceylon tea — the Ceylon Classics Trio, a three-tea introduction across the everyday grades.
- The serious tea drinker — Golden Tips or Silver Tips, picked by hand bud by bud in very small quantities. These are the teas people have usually read about but not tasted.
- Corporate and client gifting — the Prestige Rare Tips set carries a story a recipient can repeat: two of the rarest grades Sri Lanka produces, named origin, certified leaf. Our corporate tea gifts guide for Malaysia and Singapore covers budget per head, festival timing, bulk orders and multi-address delivery.
Gifting through the year
Tea travels well across every calendar we serve. For Chinese New Year and Chinese gifting generally, tea is the traditional formal gift — the rare bud teas suit that role best, and a two-tin set satisfies the convention of giving in pairs. For Hari Raya, a spiced set matches the table. Deepavali, Christmas, weddings, housewarmings and thank-yous are all served by the RM120–150 sets. Order ahead of festival weeks, when Malaysian and Singaporean courier volumes peak.
Buying tea as a gift: what actually matters
Two things separate a tea gift that gets drunk from one that sits in a cupboard. The first is traceability — a set that names its origin and estate tells the recipient something specific, where "premium blend" tells them nothing. The second is matching the grade to how they drink: someone who takes milk and sugar wants a broken grade with body, while someone who drinks it plain wants whole leaf or a bud tea. Our guide to Ceylon tea grades explains the difference in one page.
